Pianos in the City by SHADD is a musically joyous program where SHADD places creatively painted pianos on the streets of your town or indoor establishments for all to randomly play! Each piano is transformed into a visual statement, with many designs rising to the level of true art masterpieces!

Our SHADD Foundation donates and loans pianos to hospitals, retirement centers, houses of worship, special education schools, rehabilitation centers, underserved recreation centers, and on the glorious streets of your hometown! How? We locate slightly used or reconditioned pianos, bring them up to wonderfully performing instruments, then transform them into musical art.

By special request, and under the guidance of professional art teachers and SHADD creative artists, select pianos are painted by autistic children and children undergoing cancer treatment. This therapeutic activity gives the children a needed distraction and joy.

SHADD is thrilled to make these pianos available for performances, rehearsals, displays, auctions, art shows, sales, rentals, conventions, airports, trains stations, and showcase them to beautify our city streets. Each piano is transformed into a visually captivating and musically refined instrument. Enjoy!
